Re: Writers Parasite [Contains Adult Language & Situations]

You're probably right Lester. A sex robot (with appropriate apparatus) built like a dog and highly 'erotic' is probably in the works. Though to be 'fair' for a sex cat lovers, it will give pussy a whole new realistic feeling... Gotta be in Japan if it's anywhere. Those people are incredibly kinky, ...

Re: Writers Parasite [Contains Adult Language & Situations]

Then thought of "A mans best friend is his dog" Still applies though in a few years it will change to "Sex robots are divine". Robin, I think you may have hit the jackpot--combine those two and you'd have a housepet that can bark at strangers, fetch your slippers, and curl up in your lap to give yo...

Lucky you, you got the appendix out before it went supercritical. Mine just blew up, and I had to call the ambulance. Man, did that hurt. Right up there with kidney stones. The surgeon who cleaned up the mess came in and told me about it the next day--she brought pictures. "See all those little red-...

Re: Writers Parasite [Contains Adult Language & Situations]

But since you brought up food... a question. Why do people in America shun from eating horse? They're too close to being seen as pets now, I think, though I wish I could afford to keep one. I wouldn't; I just wish I could afford it. Anyway, I heard that people in the U.S. did eat horsemeat during o...

Re: Writers Parasite [Contains Adult Language & Situations]

I think a lot of that 'cultural' cuisine may be a holdover from the days before we humans had invented reliable means of long-term food storage, like canning and refrigeration. So we were often scavengers; we ate, and still do, things that were decayed and rotten, and called it delicious, because co...

Re: Writers Parasite [Contains Adult Language & Situations]

I got to watch a coworker eat a squirrel brain once--he saved that part for last--and it didn't hurt him a bit. Some of the other people in the break room made hasty exits, though, and of course he got a good laugh out of that.

He occasionally remarked that he didn't know why his wife stuck around.

Aphelion Micro-Con 2018 in Akron

I almost didn't make it; failed to bring sufficient driving directions and got a little lost on the way, but did get there, and not too late. We met at a Mexican-themed bar/restaurant for a drink and a gift exchange. Sergio is hugely generous; he presented me with a couple of books, a bottle of unus...

Heaven's Radio by Jason Arsenault

I liked this story quite a lot; it has well-developed characters and a very interesting plot, full of intrigue, deception, and political power machinations. This is also a story told from the viewpoint of non-human aliens, insectoid in this case. Decisive aspects of the story line hinge on elements ...

This wasn't bad overall; dialog, setting, and characterization were pretty good. I found it a little tiring to read though; I kept running out of breath. This may seem strange, but when I read, I breathe as though I were reading aloud. So, when I encounter a sentence such as It had now been almost t...

Why don't they just call it the vulva, which is the correct term to use anyway? I'm sure THAT wouldn't offend anyone, HAHAHAHAHA.

Not sure how to answer the "What do you offer ... ?" except to say that we're a non-paying publication. I've asked the other staff, but I don't yet know if, or how well, our board software supports foreign language typefaces. It well might, since there are libraries of those everywhere. I can say I'...

Naw, I was thinking more, copy, paste, mark up, send the author the link to download it if they wanted. Then post an overall thought on it piece in the forums. Do you mean by PM? If so, then only that one writer gets the benefit of your suggestions, and the rest of us could be missing out on someth...

Re: Question for all

You're thinking of reposting each marked-up story in its entirety? Personally, I'd prefer that to a link, because I frequently find dead links in various forums. I've also seen people posting links which I couldn't access for lack of permission. It would take up a lot of real estate on the page, als...

Re: Writers Parasite [Contains Adult Language & Situations]

Inspired a scene in one of my stories where a guy used berry juice to write a message on parchment and hid it in an earthenware jar ... it was found by the main character thousands of ...
