I completely agree with Gareth. I wanted to see it since it is a best of 05' and I am really happy I checked it out. It has a film noir feel to it, except in a narrative of course. Great job, two thumbs way up.

I really loved the characters, but I think I see what word use you're talking about. I noticed that the story even though it has a lot of fantasy elements, the way the characters spoke seemed really modern. I liked that a lot though, it gave it a unique feel.

For me, certain parts kind of dragged on, but they did pick up at a fast pace eventually. I still liked the story actually. One thing that sticks out for me tho is that it didn't "feel" like a fantasy story. Not that that bothers me, its just something I did notice.

I'm not used to reading such long works, but I liked it a lot. I think it has sort of a comic book feel to it, which I definitely dig into. It's got great characters, excellent plot especially if you think of possible future stories. It looks like it could follow the same character again. I want to ...
