I thought twenty bucks for a snack was really steep, but then find out he's got a time machine, so a twenty isn't much to him. Besides, he's probably been spending the same twenty-dollar bill every excursion.
He says at the end that he can't change the past. Seems like he isn't even trying, but maybe that's the reason. Still, it doesn't say anything really wholesome about his mental state if he just keeps going back and watching the girl get blown up. When is he going to quit?
