Aphelion

A touch of surrealism in this story which creates a stage in which a husband and wife argue over their future. However this future is defined by aliens. Are the aliens savors or conquers? The story suggest conquers enslaving humans, but for what purpose. The aliens would not need humans in factories because with the advance technology that is suggested, machines and robotics would be the principal labor needed. Humans as pets? Possibly. However the alien mentality might be foreign to us, and that different mind set might have views which we don’t understand. Anything is possible when considering an alien mind.

An interesting story about dreaming verses reality. It held my interest until the end.
