Yes, the pixies (Fair Folk, Little People, etc.) retreated from the advance of human 'civilization' (along with many animal species). Fortunately, there are still wild places in the world even now (although many are remote and inhospitable even to creatures born to live in harmony with nature) -- and pockets of nature even in most large cities.<br><br>(This is, by the way, a plug for another G.
