Toronto Star Short Story Contest

Quite substantial prizes ($5000 CDN plus a $2,500 writing course as first prize; $2000 second prize, $1000 third prize), but only open to residents of Ontario, Canada 16 years and older.
I've been entering the damn thing for close to 30 years, placed in the top 63 or so ONCE back when they awarded a bunch of Honorable Mentions, but never cracked the top 3. The number of entries each year is in the neighborhood of 3000 (maybe more this year since they aren't charging an entry fee.)
