To Jeff??

Is it a Nightwatch story? In which case he'd have to approve the plot ahead of time. Otherwise, it should go to McCamy, who is the Serials Editor now.

Jeff???

Did you check the guidelines? Jeff hasn't been the Serials and Novellas Editor for quite some time. The only stuff he still edits is Nightwatch material, and participation in that series is pretty much prearranged, by invitation only.

If the story was under 7,500 words (submitted to shorts@aphelion-webzine.com), it would have come to me, and I DON'T send 'submission received' e-mails (mentioned in the guidelines). Due to the backlog of submissions, a detailed response takes about four months, give or take a month.

Serials / novellas response time

I probably thought it was still Jeff, because I referred to the directions in the serial section, telling me to follow more or less the guidelines for Short Stories; and the name of the editor on there, is still listed as Jeff for long fiction.

@ Robert_Moriyama-I probably didn't catch the part about no 'received emails', sorry . So 4 months or so; well this is good, since it will give me more then enough time to finish the concluding 2nd story.
The four month backlog only applies to short stories (under 7500 words). McCamy is much quicker than that.
