Could you be a little more specific, or supply a sample? If by magical realism, you mean a story with very realistic detail in which some fantastic event or character appears, then sure -- viz. "Ruta Norte" for an example of what I mean.

The setting and events seem mundane, but the sense that things are not exactly normal creeps in until we suspect that the protagonist got on the wrong bus -- one bound for another world, or Hell?

Sounds like it would fit right in, Iskoday. After all, this is a magazine of SF, fantasy, and horror. Write some. We'll read it.
