Lucy DID become "enceinte" while she and Ricky were sleeping in separate beds (never the twain to meet), so there was a strong fantasy element to the series. (Of course, that might mean that Ricky Arnaz was the Second Coming of Christ...appropriate for a world created by Not-Really-Is.)
