Nominations for Best of 2010?

Post by Robert_Moriyama »

In a few weeks (he said, fingers, toes, and eyes crossed), we will be publishing the Best of 2010 (plus some new material, for those who want to ignore the past and be doomed to repeat it anyway).

So -- any nominations? In spite of the unprecedented number of "Double Issues", we had nearly as many stories, long fiction pieces, poems, and features as usual, so the Editorial Mafia would welcome any suggestions that might narrow the field a bit.

Thanks muchly. You've mixed sections (a few poems and long-fiction entries amongst the short story nominations), but I would agree that the short stories you picked all have something about them that stands out -- whether it's a premise that captures your imagination, or outstanding use of language, or evocation of a particular mood.

Any others want to second or contradict Michele's nominations? Bueller? Bueller?

LAST CHANCE FOR NOMINATIONS

Post by Robert_Moriyama »

I will be blitzing next week to get new material prepped and uploaded and to build the Best of 2010 short story index. So far, only Michele has taken the opportunity to make suggestions (good ones, at that)... Surely someone out there will want to contradict her! Bueller? Bueller?

I'm too lazy to check, but didn't I submit the best song (by default) this year?
