For a fictional view of Tesla's work and rivalry with Edison, see the movie "The Prestige". According to the movie, Edison actually had goons sabotage a lab / workshop Tesla had in Colorado ... (Dan, did Tesla actually provide electrical power for a whole Colorado town -- on the understanding that he would shut it down / divert it when conducting experiments?)
