I believe at least one of Pratchett's recent books was a collaboration (can't remember with whom), and I mean aside from "Good Omens" (collaboration with Neil Gaiman), so there MAY be someone who could do a decent job of it. So many bestselling authors have become brands now, with most of the titles under their names largely written by one of several collaborators. (e.g., Jim DeFelice and others with Clive Cussler; various writers with James Patterson; various writers with Stephen Coonts). Eric (van) Lustbader now carries on Robert Ludlum's Bourne series. Are they as good as Ludlum's? Hard to say. They are DIFFERENT, not pastiches of Ludlum. The same might be true of anyone carrying on with Discworld (maybe as good, but probably quite different).
