"Professional" per SFWA standards...

To qualify for full membership in the Science Fiction Writers of America (the organization that hands out the Nebula Awards, among other functions), an author must have (I think) three works published in magazines that pay "professional" rates (at least .05 US dollars per word, at least $50 US per sale, total at least $250) -- . So by THAT definition, Aphelion publication does not count as "professional".

We would like to think that at least some of the material we publish is of professional quality, of course, and some of our current and past contributors have indeed proven themselves in SFWA-rates-paying markets.

They've heard of Aphelion in literary circles? (Or would it only look good because they haven't heard of Aphelion?)
