be afraid, be very afraid...
what movie was that from anyway?
Lee

It has probably appeared in more than one movie by now, but the first place I recall hearing it was in the David Cronenburg remake of The Fly. I think Geena Davis's character says it to a younger woman who is misbehavin' with Seth Brundle (who is still in the early stages of his transformation into Brundlefly).

Then of course there's the Luke / Yoda exchange in The Empire Strikes Back:

LUKE: I'm not afraid. (Enters cave.)

YODA: You will be. You will be ...

Robert M.

The closest city is Athens, the next closest is Atlanta.

Just let me know - I'd like to lock in an inexpensive air fare...
Kate
... Of course, the further ahead you book, the less certain it is that your airline will still be flying. (Google 'Jetsgo' to see what I mean.)

Robert M.

... It'd be wonderful to see a whole bunch of people show up in my yard on August 6th. I dread sitting there with 3 people, and my looking silly. LOL!
Dan
Gee, Dan, I'd think that if you were looking silly, you'd want as few witnesses as possible. Ammunition ain't cheap these days ... ;)

Robert M.

It has been a while, sorry about that. Another big project. Hopefully, if all has gone well, Dan has gotten my first tithing, and if not, well I'll just have to send some more! :D Thanks Robert M. for writting an AntiMatters story. One of my favorite authors is Terry Pratchett and the antimatters series reminds me of him. By the sound of the thread, the party is a go sometime in August and that makes me happy. Aphelion came to my rescue again these last couple of weeks when it was slow at work, I even had a chance to catch up on an issue I missed! :D I enjoy work when it is busy and full of problem solving, but when it is slow, it is very slow!!! I would love to come to the party, but as predicted, one of my weddings has been upped from october to august 15th. With 8 sisters in law and 3 brothers in law, what can you do? I have an iching in my bones the october was moved to make room for another in november. That will make 3 this year! If the date changes, I'll be there to laugh and smile! If not, I'll be there in spirit! Talk to you soon,
Jacki

... Just don't tease the kudzu and we may get by without having to call an ambulance for anyone. LOL!
Dan

Dan, Dan, Dan. You
swore that you were
not going to follow through with those transgenic experiments inserting Triffid genes into kudzu cuttings ... Bill, be sure to take your flamethrower along. Even if the mutant kudzu behaves itself, you can always use it to start any charcoal-type barbecues that may show up. (I'm assuming that the main cooking apparatus will be a standard dilithium matrix grill ...)

Robert M.

Leave my experiments with the Terragon Mist out of this...
Dan
Terrragon Mist... Lessee now, the Terrigen Mist is the stuff that gives the Marvel Comics 'Inhumans' their superpowers (by inducing a unique mutation); tarragon is an herb or spice*. Irish Mist is a liqueur ("aged Irish whiskey blended with honey, herbs and other spirits to an ancient recipe dating back more than 1000 years"). So Terragon Mist would be a mutation-inducing honey-and-herbed whiskey liqueur.

Seems like kind of a waste to spray it on kudzu!

Robert 'I can explain ANYTHING' M.

*tarragon:
1. An aromatic Eurasian herb (Artemisia dracunculus) having linear to lance-shaped leaves and small, whitish-green flower heads arranged in loose, spreading panicles.
2. The leaves of this plant used as a seasoning.
