Seriously, this is becoming a real annoyance. Isn't there a way to prevent it? Is there someone to report it to with complaints?
I'll suggest it again; "captchas" required for member signup. It seems only reasonable to assume that some of this incoming rubbish is automated; 60+ posts by the same entity.

I've removed the user and started to remove the spam
@Lester: There is a CAPTCHA required for registration, plus you have to validate an email address. This keeps most of the wolves at bay, but every now and again someone's clever enough to get around it. What I really need to do is look into better moderation software to make it easier to remove them all -- as it is, I have to go and remove each post by hand. But since the spammer only put their site URL in their profile, it's more noise than anything at this point.

. . . while I've been muttering about spammers and copper-jacketed bullets . . .
Thanks for your efforts, Doc.

Some messages I don't get the "X" option (the ones in November 2010 and earlier folders), but I am doing what I can. (Of course, if I do it too early, Rob might not be able to tell which usernames should be deleted.)

The unhighlighted links are mostly from .pl (Poland?) domains, with a few .eu and .de instances. The Memberlist had a couple of pages of these 0- or 1-post userids, registered on January 24, 25, and presumably 23 and 26.
A new definition for "eurotrash"?
