Why is it that when you have guests in your house, that's when you suddenly discover your septic line to the street is clogged with roots and things are backed up all the way to your basement steps?

$148.95 an hour and two changes of clothes later, the guests are gone and so is most of the day.

Dan, I offer one hope for Aphelicon 1: on that day, let the forces of evil become confused on the way to your drains.

Nate
(I'm best man at a wedding that day, so I wish you all the best.)

Well, had the plumber back again Friday night, this time for the upstream floor drain.

Then Sat. my computer crashed--in a reformat & start over sort of way. (What do you mean Norton Utilities says there's nothing wrong with it--it won't boot!)

Then it was time to sit in a very packed theater for a 3-hour dance recital for the 30 seconds my six-year old was in to do her 5 little ballet moves in her darling tutu--and another kid stood in front of her so I couldn't see!

A truly disturbing number of large-boned kids without rhythm in outfits that didn't quite fit around here... Yeesh. Although, a couple of the 57 (yes, 57!) numbers were ok.

Whatever karma I'm paying for, I swear I'm sorry! :(
