They're really cheap -- I mean, really. Over my working lifetime, I've probably only paid maybe a hundred bucks for ours, maybe less.

Seriously, though -- try looking at a website like, maybe, NASA.gov. Maybe they'd have some info on that. Not ALL of it, mind you; some of the cost is in the military budget, and they don't like anyone knowing the cost of their toys.
