I came across this one years ago. I think they've added a few new items since then.

I'm suprised they still don't list "false pretenses." I hate it when people say that. >:(

My favorite is PIN number. I just about pull my hair out when my wife says that.

Probably an offshoot of "SIN number", which is redundant but helpful -- a question like "what's your SIN?" is likely to garner responses like "Gluttony. Oh, and I lusted after my neighbor's wife yesterday ..."

Robert M.

thanks for the link, it's indeed useful. HOWEVER, i did immediately notice several entries that were abjectly baised, like alterior/ulterior. that's like telling you the spelling COLOR is wrong coz it should be COLOUR. was this site compiled by the queen's subjects and/or canadians?

What the bejoobies is "alterior"? A search of 'All Reference' at bartleby.com (which includes the American Heritage Dictionary) produces no results. A search of Merriam-Webster online produces no results. Even a Google search only returns screen names and business names.

Apparently it isn't just the Queen's subjects and/or Canadians who think that 'alterior' is wrong ...

Robert M. :P

(For that matter, what is "baised"? Is it from the French word for kiss?)
