There's certainly a huge amount of fiction this month. All the stories are quite long after last month's selection of shorts. It should keep us all out of mischief.

The shortest piece this month is 'Half Light House' (viz. Kate Thornton's rave review), at a little under 1500 words.

Kate, incidentally, has submitted one of the shortest pieces ever to slide through my e-mail slot(?) -- less than 500 words. It's waaaay down in the to-read list, unless I cheat and give her special treatment, and I'd NEVER do that. (Kate: I accept cash, debit, credit, doubloons, triploons, quadruploons (not as funny as it once was, now that Canucks have 'loonies' (dollar coins)), and jars of marmalade (with or without Remote Stalker 3000 units).)

Robert M.
