Another story lost 'cause I'm too slow...

We've had stories I wanted to run lost to other publications because I took too long to respond. But this is the first time it has happened AFTER an issue has gone online.<br><br>I received a reply to my acceptance note for 'Half Light House' today (about 6 days after I sent the note), indicating that the story had been placed elsewhere (presumably before our acceptance note was read).  Apologies to any and all who went to read it after reading Kate Thornton's review, and found it gone.<br><br>Robert  :-[ M.
