Some folks might have thought that I just make this stuff up.

Truth *is* stranger than my fiction.

Dan
It seems to be well-suited to a Mare Inebrium treatment ... someone telling the tale of a disaster in a tibana-gas processing plant (maybe not tibana gas -- LucasArts would probably sue) in which miraculously no one is injured. Then we might learn the why and how of the miracle. A Finn-like alien protecting his co-workers? (Finn, of course, was the super-cyborg who made all the patrons of Callahan's invulnerable to any physical trauma up to and including nuclear explosions (but sadly for Doc, not immune to disease).) A closeted pre-cog who managed to arrange for everybody to be elsewhere when the equipment blew / collapsed? A telekinetic who held things together until lunch time? The teller of the tale could be a witness -- or the miracle worker -- or both.

Robert M.

PS The editorial staff already knew about the incident and had expressed their relief / wonder through direct e-mail / private messages, hence no remarks here from us.

You can't wait for inspiration. You have to go after it with a club.
