There are two reasons the challenge hasn't been posted. One, I've been unbelievably busy, but I've always had this challenge ready as a backup. Two, this time, as a change-up, this is a speed-writing challenge.
What we're going to do is next Friday night, I'm going to post a very general theme, like "Autumn" or "Apple Picking" (which is what has been eating up all my time), but with a sci-fi twist. Everyone gets two hours from the time they read it to come up with whatever they can & send it to me however far they got in the time allowed. Because we're not all in the same time zones, everyone will be on their honor to follow the time from when they read it. This is very similar to challenges they do at Absolute Write every Sunday night, and I've always wondered what we'd get that way.
I'll post the entries Sunday night for voting.

Re: Sept Challenge?
I haven't decided yet exactly what time I'll be posting. I am in the Chicago time zone (Central Standard Time). If I didn't make it clear, because we're all over the world, I know it's hard to all be there at the same time. Everybody gets 2 hours from whenever they read the prompt, even if it's Sunday morning. (You're on your honor to only use the 2 hours.) I'm trying to make it flexible enough that people want to try it.ente per ente wrote:This is a very good thing, interesting too...eh,eh...the only problem is that usually I am not at home on Friday night to check internet sites online( and, actually only a few days over the course of every week...eh,eh)...but I could have a look at it for a time
anyway, during the other days of the week it might be better
...eh,eh...two hours are really a very long time to write something...eh,eh...even because, finally, I see there is no word limit set for this...so I could finally do something longer than my usual entries...or is there the same word limit of all the other Challenges...eh,eh?

Please, some infos...For the Time Zone, do you refer to Chicago Time Zone? What time exactly on Friday night for the theme posting?
If you can write the whole 1,000 word story in that time, great (yes, there's still a limit). If you can only manage 2 paragraphs, fine (I might not have that much, if it was me). There's no guarantee the winner will be a completed story, by the way.

I like that idea! Sounds good to me. Sometimes when one pops out a story in a hurry, it is a good one. Something to do with sub-conscience thinking or something like that. The muse as writers call it.
