I was going to post the "Hello Kitty" Cthulhu image -- well, one of 'em -- but I found this and liked it better.

You know, I think I might have actually worked for this guy once.

John, you forgot one of the old masters of this type of creep-show, Robert W. Chambers.

I had a copy of the book once, read the whole thing, and said, "meh." The content never came close to being as creepy as the paperback's cover illustration, seen below. I could never figure out what that highway-flare thingie was, but I thought it was pretty cool.

Don't pay for this book; it's free in the public domain.
