Nuts, I didn't get my votes posted in time. Anyway, congrats, J.L.! You did a beautiful job there with the show of compassion. Very nice.
Michele, you did a good job too.
I have to say, this contest is getting more interesting lately, what with more entrants and some new faces.
The idea I'd been trying to work with featured some primitive tribes kidnapping members from each other for mates, to prevent inbreeding. Maybe another time.

Congratulations to J. L. as the winner, and to Michele for second. They were both good stories. Many stories again, and I hope many more authors will pen a flash story next month. And I welcome Meghashri Dalvi and Ed Sullivan, two good additions to Aphelion.
