Well, got one in. I love the strain of coming up with a story, even if you're not in the mood for one. That's how you improve! Many great authors in all genre said the same thing, so that's not original---just something I heard again and again. That's how one learns. First you copy, then you modify and finally you use the tools you learned by copying to become original. It works! Stephen Kings said so in his great book On Writing.
