Evening, all

I thought for this challenge, as it is a new year, we could try and encourage some optimism. Tell us a tale, in a thousand words or less, of the dawn of a new age, the start of something hopeful and the end of a time of darkness and fear. I want characters, I want a story arc, and I want dialogue.

I also want Disney to ignore my use of a copyrighted title.
