Hm . . . Cinci is about six hours away from me . . . it'd be nice to get out and see a new face . . . that's a lot of driving, though. Consider me as thinking about it, pending more details on when, where, and how long.
More Aphelioids would give me more incentive to be there . . .
Holidays in North America...eh,eh

Saturday night in Cinci
More proof that great minds think alike -- I was about to ask the same thing! So. . .Who knows Cincinnati well enough to suggest a place? I've got friends thereabouts who might be of help, if nobody else does.
Count me in, btw.
Also, what about accommodations? Any decent cheap motels thereabouts? What should we bring?
I was raised by humans. What's your excuse?

I'm still unclear about the details . . . we need to establish exactly where and when to meet -- and some way to recognize each other would be good as well. I'm not even sure yet how many of us are going to show up.
I'm going to plan on being down there for Saturday evening and until about lunch on Sunday. I still have to reserve a room somewhere, and I'm thinking cheapest available at this point.
Does anyone want the job of Event Coordinator? (I don't . . . not particularly.)

I just got in the homestead door about fifteen minutes ago . . . had to check the board right away.
It was truly a good time; we had a feast (expensive, but worth it) and lots of conversation. I was glad to have met a few of you folks in person, and if the opportunity comes back around, I'll do it again.
And yeah, I'm broke too, but glad.

Just adding to Bill's observations about the rest of us . . .
bottomdweller showed a tendency at times to write her own schedule and agenda . . . this lady does not follow a crowd . . . just my instinct here, but I don't think that fear is anywhere near the top of her list of motivators; maybe not even in sight of the top. If it came to a fight, I'd want her on my side.
(edited to add) My first reaction on meeting her was that she looked just like I'd expect her to . . . just a peculiar thing to experience.
Sergio . . . same as Bill said, with an extra emphasis on energy, even though he doesn't come across as being hyper. I really don't know how he does it. I really wish I could work like that.
And Bill . . . I didn't notice or realize it until seeing his post just now, but this guy is the Eye in the Sky. Bill is a very smart cookie. During our time together, I had to wonder sometimes if I wasn't just there to be seen (not a point in my favor, either) because I said so little most of the time. As to being too smart for my own good -- not in my own estimate, but that's why those 'unplumbed depths' have no plumbing -- or lights.
By the way, Bill had his own personal Morale Officer with him, a very charming lady.
It was a delightful event, and over too soon.
