Te best I can say for this one is that the plot was inscrutable. I don't read mysteries, but this might have been a good one.

Characterization . . . machine-like, for the main character at least, which, while appropriate, was boring. For the people -- well, you just can't really know.

Pretty unexciting overall. Maybe it could be spiced up some, but I'm not sure how.
