Re: Getting listed in the ARCHIVES?
That would be the Dreaded and All Powerful Webmaven, a.k.a. Doc, a.k.a. Rob Wynne. I once offered to help update the Archives listings, but Archived stories actually live on a different server from all other Aphelion material, so even now, with the Power Editorial (almost as impressive as the Power Cosmic, but not as flashy), I can't do it.

If everybody sent Private Messages to the Webmaven pleading for the Archives to be brought up to date, he might GET RIGHT ON IT -- but 'IT' might be 'accidentally' erasing the Back Issues. The Plagues that fell upon Egypt were nothing compared to the horrors that a wrathful Webmaven might bring forth. Er, was that last goat I sacrificed pleasing to you, o' Mighty One?

Robert M.

Silly rabbi, kicks are for trids. Er -- click on the Members thingy in the header to this page ('twixt 'Search' and 'Profile'). Webmaven is the Very First Entry in the Members list, with the webmaven@aphelion-webzine.com address right there. You can also click on the Webmaven member id and send a Private Message.

(Some people ain't got no 'magination 'bout exploring a webpage. Probably wouldn't even click on the 'Under no circumstances should you click on this button' button.)

Robert M.
Members should also notice the line at the top of the page that says:

"Hey, [username], you have x messages."

If x equals anything other than 0, someone sent you a message, and you should click on the blue part and read it. After you read it, you can even reply back, quote, and do all the other things you can do in the normal board, but only the intended recipient can see it.

As far as the link, Jim, things just don't seem updated all that often. I'm not in the archives either. However, even if you were in the archives, any new stories wouldn't be listed until the next archives update, and heaven only knows when that would happen. For now, can't you just send people:
http://www.aphelion-webzine.com/shorts/ ... lution.htm ?

That is where your story is, after all. Short stories, 2004, month 8 for August, followed by the file name.

Nate(Some people ain't got no 'magination 'bout exploring a webpage.
