Hello aphelion! Its been a long while, I vanish alot, but I still love you guys...<br><br>I might have brought up the idea of puting out a "best of" book before... My memory is wretched, but I am pretty sure the idea was shot down due to printing costs.<br><br>Well I found a great solution... And feel free to rip me to shreds if this has already been discussed or even if its been done already.<br><br>Personally, I'd buy a few copies and it wouldn't bring in loads of cash or anything... But it would be great.<br><br>Basically, I found a site that does it free, no mass orders required. No charge at all to the publishers/authors.<br><br>Look into it and let me know what you guys think. A yearly best of book would be awesome, especially for those of us that love everything aphelion does but cant be online all the time.<br><br>www.lulu.com<br><br>I don't see any loopholes, and all i hear is good stuff about this site. Let me know what you guys think. I know its been several years since i sent anything in to aphelion, but that's mostly due to me not having the time to write.

No you couldn't run anything with copyrighted material... But that's common sense either way.<br><br>I whole-heartedly think that this is a very practical idea, as it doesn't cost aphelion anything at all... It also opens up a new venue for writers in the form of something a little more "permanent" than invisible 1's and 0's.<br><br>I mean, really, some of the most interesting stories I've read have been in aphelion. I think they deserve to be in print.<br><br>The only bump in the road, as far as I can see, would be getting the authors' permission and laying out the manuscript (which can be done in any word processor and uploaded directly to the site). <br><br>The book is then printed as it sells, which is brilliant. You set the price, and off it goes. Profits generated can be divvied to the authors or put towards some of the optional marketing services.

ok... i'm shocked, but hey, thats the way it goes. is there really nobody that agrees with this idea? is there anybody else who sees this as an opportunity..?<br>
