We've together a month now, and everything is grand! Today is my first birthday with Lyn. Later today we're going out for a while. Life is very good again.

I've even started writing new stuff on the Tom Darby book.

"First birthday with Lyn"? Are you a born-again Lyntian? Or is this your actual birthday in the traditional sense?

Either way, Happy Birthday, Bonne anniversaire, Buen cumpleanos, etc.

Robert M.
OK, Lyn and I have gotten a lot done lately. There's going to be a wedding next May. Dunno how that'll effect Aphelicon 2, but I'll keep everyone posted on that.

We've picked up the engagement ring, her wedding dress, and started discussing logistics of the actual day. We'll be doing most of it on the cheap, just like I did Aphelicon 1. As plans come together, I'll post the details here. Things will change, and often, before the actual day.

Dan

Gee, if you combined Aphelicon 2 and the reception, everybody could offer CONgratulations. (Sorry. These things just pop into my head and I have to get them out before they start to fester.)

But actual congratulations to you and Lyn. (Lyn, are you SURE you know what you're getting into? Oops, maybe that should have gone into a private message ...)

Robert "Sophia on the Golden Girls is my role model" M.

*Lyn waves hello to everyone on Lettercol -- with a smile that should confirm her complete contentment, but which unfortunately can't be illustrated with an icon, because there isn't one on the list. But hopefully the image projected will suffice. (Thank you, Dan, for one hell of a Who-fest.)

I just wanted to thank the lovely people at Aphelion for the many good wishes, support and encouragement that you've given Dan and me -- and for caring about and appreciating Dan the way you so obviously do.

We're both touched that so many friends will be sharing our day with us. It's awesome enough that you've all shared in our joy so far online. I'm looking forward to meeting as many of you in person as can make it on the day.

The ceremony won't be anything fancy. Or remotely conventional. Basically, have no expectations other than an enjoyable time, and witnessing two people confirm their commitment to each other publicly. Knowing how much they appreciate you being there.

Hmm.. Dan mentioned something about holding ApheliCon 2 the same weekend.. how possible would that be?

Hugs,

Lyn

Dan was trying to have the actual ceremony on Aphelicon 2 weekend in August, but had to reschedule. The Big Day is sometime soon ... viz. the Aphelicon 2 topic for more accurate info (since my remarks are based on foggy memories of Dan's last post on the subject a while back).

Robert M.
