Chinook
Forward thrust in depths of deep
Fining towards adventure leaving current in it wake
King of oceans and salmon beings
Among the pollack, shrimp, herring
Filling belly and need
Black jawed set with teeth
Setting bite, a baited deed
Pulling forward with strength while hands hold a bend tight
Reel screaming success
as a King sought sanctuary of the sea
Battle of sorts with hand and scale
until a net is lowered to scoop a tired King
On deck with smile the people sing
while the last view for a Chinook is sun, seagull, and wooden club
to the brain.

Re: Writers Parasite [Contains Adult Language & Situations]
Much has been written about food.
Food is indeed, a wonderful part of this planet.
It even has been used in sexual activities (strawberries and chocolate. edible panties.) And at the opposite side of the spectrum, as a weapon in prison.
Pizza is a special food. So damn tasty and so many ways to prepare. Something for everybody. Some like the crust thick and chewy, some super thin and crusty.
The history of pizza varies upon interpretation and location. For most, it hails back to Italy. Though, many countries have had a form of pizza going back hundreds, if not thousands, of years. One of more common aspects of pizza is that it is a poor mans food. By this, it is meant that the crust of a pizza is covered in whatever ingredients are available to include scraps and left-overs.
Hard to imagine that someone could not like or enjoy pizza but I'm sure they exist. Though, for me, I love pizza! Just had a dinner of homemade, thin crust, and highly tasty pizza pie. And so, the inspiration to write yet another 'something' about food.
*
Slice
It is a toss up
In the air
Hanging
Heated from simple cold
until
simmering, boiling hot to serve
So many tastes and sensations to tingle first
the fingers
lifting elbows
opening wide
the bite
Ahh...
the simple joys with buttery cheese
sun ripened tomatoes
sausage, onions, spice...
When the plate is picked clean
a belly full to the point of almost pain
there comes the realization that there is more pizza left to eat
and so, for breakfast, lunch, dinners, or snack
either hot or cold
there will still be more slices
that please.

Spider Song
If you listened today you would have heard the memory of magic
of sorts
as what is magic if not a moving moment of possibility?
There, hanging from a thread, glassed visions of repeat and seen
and there
walking the edge of rim, upon a world barrier set so
define...
such tiny bodies and tiny feet
everywhere
down and up and over and
here...
such beauty is how they seem
with yet
another moment
to listen
as they sing
such songs today as the moth held parade
a yellow jacket searched the jacket for food
while still
the spiders sang...
even now, deep inside where the web is tight
even now,
a spider sings.

Re: Writers Parasite [Contains Adult Language & Situations]
Famous people now long past dead
Epitaphs, dates; history of past days
William Shakespeare, Hitler, Bob, Ming...
Oh, the poetry Sapho's wrote, the tributes to Zeus
Plato and forgotten cities buried beneath the waves
So many so famous and so many without names
Why, just today, some new famous people were born into a world taking their first breath
while so many names are coming, it is almost beyond belief...
One over there, and another over there
and there
and there
and there...
So the question: If you could read forever the writings of all those famous people
or choose to eat tasty cheese sitting in front of you
which would it be?
For me
I definitely and always will choose
the cheese.

Re: Writers Parasite [Contains Adult Language & Situations]
Lucky me; I'm not compelled to choose between the reading or the cheese--I can do both, in whatever proportions I decide for myself.
And the cheese is tasty and not nasty--one letter making all the difference, as if comparing whipped cream to smegma.
And some people seek out nasty cheeses. There's one that's served infested with little maggots that can jump as far as six inches. Maybe the liveliness of the worms is an indicator of quality; nonetheless, some humans are pursuing at least one food item whose consumption warrants the use of safety glasses.
And why has this worm, which lives inside a block of cheese, evolved the ability to fling itself around with such vigor?

I was raised by humans. What's your excuse?
Re: Writers Parasite [Contains Adult Language & Situations]
I read about that cheese served in Sweden at the museum for nasty food. (Read it at that site you pointed out. A lot of good reads on that one) Bet the worm tastes good...
Now NASTY cheese is indeed TASTY. The funkier and stinkier, the better. Of course this opinion comes from one who also loves cheese in a can, American processed, and Valveeta...
A lot of people, to include writers, don't know what smegma is and sadly, I'm not one of those. Heard the meaning years ago along with a word, felching... A paramedic from California told me a lot about the habits and words of some strange folks.
Just before this site I was perusing the news and found the following: Teens are now getting drunk on boiled tampon juice
Kids these days will try just about anything to catch a buzz, from “boofing” beer to vaping vodka. Their latest cheap thrill? Feminine hygiene products.
Teenagers in Indonesia are collecting menstrual pads and tampons — often of the used variety — and boiling them, allowing the mixture to cool and then imbibing the resulting liquid.
Police have already arrested several minors caught making this menstrual-pad moonshine.
Now, I have a pretty evolved ability to use a vivid imagination, but... YUCK!
All generations of human youth strive to be 'different'. Sniffing modeling glue, tipping over cows, toilet paper on trees, and even now; consuming detergent pods. But mentrual pads and tampon consumption? YUCK! x a trillion.
Inspiring though.
*
"Don't put that in your mouth!"
"Drop it!"
"No!"
Words of a concerned parent.
Children know better though
They know they have hands
They have feet and mobility
and they have need.
They need to discover their world
To form the tastes they'll need,
so dog shit or dirt
candy or soap
no one can stop them
except for vomiting, coma, sickness
or
death.

"I got a big reply for ya, heehee, and it looks like chicken and tastes like beef!"
Okay parasite, that's enough.
"But, but, but, charcoal beak wants to Grasp something and so I'm just responding in my natural-instinct kinda way. What's wrong with that?"
Well, that's between you and Tao, but be warned, a Phoenix can have pretty sharp claws.
"Nah, that's okay. Just got back from Sunbathing on Mercury. My skin is tougher than diamonds... but it does indeed look like squab and tastes like Angolian foo-foo fish!:"
Sigh... Whatever parasite, whatever.

Hand to fit the Sky
Contrail of chance and wear
looking down like looking up
Pink of nail flashing
tracing cuticle of belief
while children splash and dance
Last of days the piece fell
but those are for those other days
today
today, a cloud of smoke blanketed to stable hearth and home
Could you smell?
Rich
Pungent
Serene
First a Hawk showed Pride
Followed secrets of the Owls glide
and so many with so many
needs
A Drum spoke with bass
toes anchored to core
with hands along for the ride
indeed
and there
there
and there again...
It was a good day.

Black Friday
Surely a racist comment? But, none-the-less, a fun day for buying stuff and for writers to be inspired.
A local thrift store run by Salvation Army had all green price tags at 75% off. Crazy. Purchased a small wood birdhouse/wind chime priced at .85 for .21 and lots of shirts and trousers for a total of $10.
Also, a drone with a camera and a remote and able to be run with something called a, smart phone, for $29. Said it has a zone of 350. Living on a cliff much higher than that so it will be fun to see if it crashes or if an Eagle eats it. Betting it will get a bit of both. And, if I get lucky, gonna zoom over to the neighbors house to watch him brush his teeth while wearing a pink thong, and then see if he truly has good aim with a shotgun. (oh, and for confused readers, I mean I'm wearing the pink thong... my neighbor Dan is more like the 'wear barb wire' or 'burlap sack' kinda fella...)
***
Stuff
Some say stuff is bad, that material possessions are wrong
(while busy planning a riot of property harm with a cell phone)
Black Friday, a day of fun where the people seen were smiling, talking, perusing, buying, and laughing.
So many so wound up, their springs are almost breaking... what better release than to buy things priced almost nothing.
A good day though, for some used jeans, a spider shirt, birdhouse and some kind of gadget that can grind up anything
Black Friday, followed by Orange Saturday and Cyber Monday...
Many good days of stuff and probably wonderful for China and the stuff industry.

Re: Writers Parasite [Contains Adult Language & Situations]
Writers come in all sizes, shapes, ages, gender(s). Always has been this way, always will be.
Today I got the pleasure of reading a bit of writing at a local elementary grade. It was a standard piece of paper written on with what appeared to be, crayon. It was signed, anonymous.
Before you go onto social media and speak bad about others, it might have been time better spent thinking about lighting yourself of fire
Now, I didn't quote it exactly, as that would have been better. But, the gist of what was written has been presented.
What I liked about the writing I saw today was that it presented a great message in a twisted way I find enjoyable.
Of course, inspirational.

Kids Say the Darndest Things
"Toot toot," goes a childrens boot
"Did you take a cookie after I told you not to?" Nope, she did, pointing to a stranger walking by.
"Mommy, what is spawning?" a little girl asked while swimming at a pool and reading the rules
"Daddy, I left a frog in your tackle box," a little boy said with a grin.
On and on, and on again.
Raw
Powerful
Fun
and yes, embarrassment and
pain.
Thankfully the book of children is always being written
as they always are filled the darndest things.

as if just as simple as a walk in a park
while the man left carrying the tremendous bulk and weight of his world
though,
sitting there, so simple atop a red post
rested a snow ball left to watch both worlds.

"Dinky."
Say what parasite? Dinky?
"Yeah numbnuts, dinky in as the true size of your winky"
Winky? Dinky? Parasite, are you indulging in cashew nuts again?
"Nope. But I did find your stash of smoked eel! Yum!"
Uh, that's not smoked eel, that's the bucket of black mold I cleaned out of the toilet bowl in the guest room.
"Really? (silence) Oh well, tastes like smoked eel to me! Yum!"
You're a sick, sick entity parasite. That's why I like you.
"Oh goody, does that mean I can have more?
Sure thing. Sure thing. You go for it.

Talking about liking, just read a cool poem from another man whose writing intrigues me. It was about being tired. A bit of part poetry, a bit doodling, a great use of forming/spelling words.
And so, inspiration to write a piece for those writers who are tired. Some writers get so many rejection letters from editors and book companies it is easy to get tired. Many other writers get burnt out and lose the muse to write. Getting tired is something everyone can relate too. To be tired is to be human. To be human is to try.

maybe it will result in a cure for cancer?
How about relationships?
Man/man, woman/woman, man/woman, woman/man
and then throw in religions, nations, ages, politics, heck even clothes.
Now, hate makes a person tired
so too
love
Sleep is grand but often too, leaves one tired
So, what is the answer? The solution? What can a tired person do?
Pills are not the answer, nor booze.
Less of or moderation sometimes only makes being tired worse.
Sex is cool but the success only makes for more tired
so
what is a tired person to do?
The answer is... to appreciate
Yes
Appreciation is truly the clue.
Write something shitty and everybody hates it?
Good, appreciate that you could, and did indeed, write it, and that someone actually took the time to read it.
Appreciate the love, the hate, the politics; all that makes one tired
means that you tried, you try so hard yet either in success or failure, makes you so tired.
I appreciate absolutely everything good or bad, truly, i do (and thankfully, there is pizza, chips, and other fantastic food)
and when this body surrenders and it turns to dust
there will be plenty of time then, for resting in a great
dirt nap.

Alarm clock blaring out the tuned vibration
tearing out a resting nervous system
testing the joy of sleep to the max.
Work maybe?
A college exam or high school test?
Even on vacation and you have to catch the early bus?
How about a writer? Tough enough. Typing, typing, typing, toiling, sweating, grueling... Yes indeed, tough.
Running a race to your hardest
Breathing hard; sweating; groaning, with so many muscles wanting to rest
Metal taxation maybe, working the mechanisms of search

zzzzzzappppp! housebound with a sprained foot.
Inspirational though, just as the ice was slick, the beams heavy
but a whoooooooole day to write
damn that foot hurts!
*
With every action there is an opposite and equal reaction
though
thinking there is room for dispute.
Show kindness to a stranger who in turn shows kindness to ten people
Feed the poor with a simple cheap meal and it brings great fortune to them back
So easy to throw a rock straight up into the air without any effort
Live in a coma for the rest of your life when it comes back down and hits your head with a whack
Write simple words with ease and feel then, the weight of the world
So no, with every action there IS an action, sometimes small and hardly noticeable, sometimes so immense
overpowering the original act.

Inspired by numbers today. Yikes! Too many in the head.
*
Zero percent down
or twenty?
Depends on your credit score
ie...
numbers between 1 and 800
1 means you're not only broke and poor, but dead
800 means you're an alien from Mars owning a string of banks
string meaning numbers
from one to a billion
a billion is a number the US government throws around when buying stuff by the second
and then we're back to seconds
numbers of numbers of numbers
all SO SO SO very mind fucking
numbing.

Re: Writers Parasite [Contains Adult Language & Situations]
Oh, that was good! So very good!
"Whatsa matter with you now numbnuts? Little baby crying about your ankle? Serves ya right and I hope the pain goes straight up your spine via your winky and drive ya dinky."
Oh shut up parasite. I just read a couple of poems from a lady whom I find occasionally writes some good ones and man did the recent ones make me laugh! Laughter truly IS the best medicine. Laughed so hard my dog looked at me as if maybe there'd be no more cookies coming.
"Whatever. Hope you can't sleep."
That's okay parasite because remember, I don't sleep/you don't sleep AND I eat all YOUR cookies.

Annunciation ergo trepidation
steadfast as she goes
for in full sail the mizzen bellows, full of bluff and blow.
Prow or brow
lash or nail
Dragons in search of gold, with within there glows.
Maybe something is awary, awry with chance?
or
for sure, vinegar pints the honey?
or
maybe it's just me, sitting in an ivory tower
leveled to far belief?
No matter as what matters
is
what is
inside...
Is it a glow? Maybe knowing?
Maybe nothing?
Whatever though, no matter the pain, the time, the day, night, or in between
Laughter is such a wonderful statement of dilema
that which cannot be
explained... but there are some
that understand.

Re: Writers Parasite [Contains Adult Language & Situations]
Sheesh, it's not quite like that. I have a credit score over 800 and the only strings I own are attached to ukuleles (though I'm not telling what planet I'm an alien from). Real simple: pay all your bills in full and on time.Zero percent down
or twenty?
Depends on your credit score
ie...
numbers between 1 and 800
1 means you're not only broke and poor, but dead
800 means you're an alien from Mars owning a string of banks
Whether or not a person can do that is situational, though, and I'm lucky; my house is paid off and it's just me and the cat here, living cheap. I have good health insurance and no student loans. Plus, I have just barely enough self-control to put off buying new toys for myself until I have the money in the account.
Sadly, though, the world is full of fools and unfortunates--with low credit scores.
I was raised by humans. What's your excuse?
Re: Writers Parasite [Contains Adult Language & Situations]
Over 800? I knew it. Lester is an alien! Lester is an alien!
Good job though, most people are in hock for life. Some people think slavery is abolished but actually, finance companies are the new masters.
My credit score is actually one of the new binary-code styles. It is filed under .00013X. Nobody can understand it. Including, me.

Rocket Man'

Oozing magma
Seeping lava
Orange tastes

Not good for the eyes though, blinded by such white-hot
heat
Passions though... now therein is the clarity of ice cold.

Another good day to giggle if not outright, guffaw!
And, so very inspirational when sunlight pierces the coldness of space and time while on the ground slumbering, it brings warm memories.

The Tree and Piano
Written to tune an illness, Walt Whitman
followed by so many other sprigs of minds
leafing out in melody
budding success
finding
Rooted strength gathered in fingers
plying beneath of veneer wooded relief
making such sweet sounds
as a soul mixes with music
Outside, the Winds whisper, sometimes banging demands
twisting tree and bush
bending yet not breaking
strength, you see, in numbers
Counting days, nights passing
oh yes indeed,
a world of trees can only inspire
humanity
to try harmony.

Re: Writers Parasite [Contains Adult Language & Situations]
Some writers write in a way where some readers enjoy reading.
In movies, some actors act in a way where some people watching enjoy watching.
Ryan Reynolds playing his roles in Deadpool, are in my opinion, fantastic.
Humor. Violence. Humor. More violence... Perfect!
Inspirational as always.

Make belief believe and cook until simmered
Serve hot or cold
Will make a world a friendlier place
and then
and then, again,
and again, and again, and then
again
because what is the greatness of reality?
one where people believe in nothing more
than a world of power, of work, of money
yes, make belief and believe
for in this
it is seen.
