I already announce the upcoming challenge(s) in the winner's announcement. That gives an extra 1-2 weeks before the next challenge starts to have a set of possibilities in mind. That seems fair to me. Plus, I don't really want to draw more attention away from the issue--that would be biting the hand that feeds. The challenges almost always start about a week after the first Sunday, which was to give the issue undivided attention... if it came out on time. I'm trying to be team player here.

As I said in the last announcement, it would either be "The Collaborative Spaceman's Birthday" or "Marooned!" "Spaceman's Birthday" has turned into a much bigger project that will cross over the lines into... something more than just a challenge. I don't want to give away too much, but I think it's really a cool opportunity. As such, I won't have it ready by the 9th, so "Marooned!" is now getting my attention.

With a title like that, you should have plenty of ideas by the 9th.
